I'm reading a new book now and I wanted to share it with you.
It is called 'Disciplines of a Godly Woman.' By Barbara Hughes.
The first chapter is on the Gospel. It talks about how believers would get together to study scripture and one time a new Christan attended and found glory and wonder in the well known verse John 3:16! We all know this passage and yet this young girl found it so inspiring! I would love to be like that again. To find wonder in scripture. I am reading through the Bible and at the moment I am in Leviticus chapter 13. So far I have learned every unclean thing there is to eat and touch and what to do about it if you are unclean. (; Since we have entered the New Testament days I find it not as interesting as other parts of the Bible. Yet even still it is there and it needs to be reviewed.
Honestly I do not know why it is important. Maybe because God wants to show us true 'dedication' and 'sacrifice.' Maybe he is trying to tell us that we may not kill animals as sacrifices but we should still glorify Him by doing something else. I sometimes wonder what God is trying to say. However I can rely on the fact that if I am patient He will uncover what He wants me to understand.
The biggest point I see in all of this is to stay dedicated! Or disciplined to the Gospel. The Gospel is in my lap every morning before I eat, before I start school and even before I get on the computer. It wasn't always like that though. I would go all week without opening my Bible. Sure I would do a teen Bible study in the morning. But it just isn't the same! My personal relationship the Jesus hangs by a thread without daily engulfment in His word!
XOXO

I struggle with the the clean, unclean thing myself. I am so grateful that we have the word of God to see us through these times in our history.
It really is HIS STORY!
Looking forward to journeying with you!

Wow faith this is really neat. I love reading your blog(s) you are so truthfully inspiring. I will check it as much as I can, ( and comment as much as I can. Thank you for inviting us to go on this journey with you, I need to "be" more in the Gospel myself. Well until another day then...

Faith, you are such an inspiration to me. Whenever I’m feeling down, or questioning God's love and plans for my life, I take comfort in your words, and how truly faithful you are. I’m so glad you have decided to write these blogs, and share your words. I am so relieved to have a friend that I can talk to about my infinite problems. God has certainly blessed you with your many talents, and has a great future instore. God is so good to me, and I find I don’t give him enough credit for that. I keep saying, "tomorrow I will.. tomorrow I will", but what am I to do if "tomorrow" never comes. As you said, I’m holding on by a thread, and my devotion is the one thing that makes me stronger. I feel so content, and at ease after I read the Bible. I merely wish I had more time. Although I’m sure that is one thing every one wants, time. Time to live, time to love, time to pray, time to laugh, and time to cry.
I am so proud of you, my dear, dear friend. And I pray that not even time may separate us. <3
